The Midi Project

Nostalgic 90s shapes, styles and silhouettes are popping up everywhere from your local mall to fashion week runways. Athletic fits and platform sneakers are taking over our wardrobe, but I'm not complaining since a flatform sole gives you skinny stems and body hugging styles give me a reason to keep up with my workouts (ugh.). And the 90s was all about street style so you create your own style without breaking the bank. Create your own midi skirts from thrift store finds, knotted maxis or a simple diy from cheap fabric store knits. Check out The Midi Project below for an easy and budget friendly approach to this season's must-have hemline.

Pattern Play: Mix some quirky patterns like tartan, stripes and "f you" socks for a sick mix of prints and color. You can also order this crushed velvet crop top on my Etsy Shop.

Give your beauty routine a 90s edge by styling your hair with some faux dreads. Just twist your hair and tie with a clear rubber band (you can find them at Sally's or any beauty store) and you get a quick "dreads" that can leave beachy waves the next day.

Find an old maxi skirt in your closet and knot it in the front for a midi shape that's totally 90s. And don't forget to pair them with some sky high flatforms for a standout mix of proportions that creates a unique personal style.
