lifeSTYLE: Holodaze

Celebrate the Holodaze in high shine pieces that replace stale sequins with futuristic finishes. The radioactive glow you'll get in these light-reflective separates will let you standout from the crowd this holiday season and you'll be able to wear these pastel bright pieces in the spring and summer as well. So take a trip to the future and check out how to style this galactic garment trend:

Try a hands on approach with this kitschy faux leather embellished tee that adds a quirky touch to this space age holographic skirt. This top is no longer being produced by Dimepiece but you can create your own with some scrap faux (or real) leather and a mesh tee. Just trace you own right and left hand, cut it out and sew it on! Add a clear vinyl bra underneath for another futuristic texture.

Tease with a tee and transparent vinyl bra. This look is perfect for a rave inspired club, concert or house party and the white crop top adds a refreshing break from the light reflective hologram. Pair this look with candy necklace wrapped baby buns and you're ready to ring in the new year and party like it's 1999!

Double the hologram, double the fun! Add a one-of-a-kind chain link crop top to the Unif Gammaray Skirt for the ultimate in space age style. The Paco Rabanne style top adds a sweet 70s detail and adding a harness and caged bralet make it modern and not so sweet.

Be all the rave by pairing this eye-catching iridescent skirt with a caged bralet, harness and Ebay).
clear club kid bra. Mix a pastel lip for the full 90s pixie experience and pair them with some clear boots like the Jeffrey Campbell Attina (look for them on

You can also go crazy with cutouts for a look that's perfect for your next girl's night out. I also paired a crystal clear be underneath to add a modern edge and just a hint of perky plastic. No matter how you wear hologram this season you're sure to step out from the sea of sequins this New Year's Eve.

  1. Where is the vinyl bra from? It looks like Chromat. I was looking for an alternative to them.

    1. Hey! The clear bra is called the "Clarity Bustier" by Unif. It was from SS13 so it may not be available anymore but you may get lucky on Ebay. Also I know of another brand called Pet Shop Girls that sells transparent vinyl pieces. Good luck in your search!
