muCHICal style: LOLLAland 2012

This year at Lollapalooza style was in abundance; the good, the bad, the funny and the stunning - no matter your preference there were signature looks stomping through Grant Park. From custom cutoffs to carefree dresses even a slight evacuation and heavy downpour couldn't damper the fun and fresh looks filled looks complete with fab flower crowns and towering topknots. Check out my street style snaps below and take some cues from this muCHICal fest cuties on how to end your summer on a stylish high note.

My latest Adventures in LOLLAland:

Stomping Through Day 1

The hot heat of August calls for an even hotter summer bikini with signature cutouts in a versatile black lycra. Pair the beach friendly top with a cool kimono, boho flower crown, glow-in-the-dark Aztec Shorts and some utilitarian flatform boots for the quintessential festival look that mixes girly, boho and edgy for a look that will add a distinctive beat to the sea of tanks, shorts and sandals.

Studded At Stormapalooza

Please excuse the frizzy hair and lackluster sidewalk setting as we were evacuated onto the streets before I could even get a street style pic in on Day 2. But the positives of Stormapalooza was ordering up Mexican food and margaritas for lunch, along with showing off my favorite pair of cutoffs. I love the mix of quirky and edgy with this kitschy Dimepiece Design's "Hands Off" Crop Top and Super Studded Shorts. A simple top knot is perfect for the frizz enhancing weather and simple studded sandals stay stylish and comfortable.

Finale Fringe Binge

You're probably sick of me singing the praises of a good leather skirt, tee, tank, dress, etc..., but this DIY Fringe Leather Skirt is the perfect summer piece that can transition from the hot heat of a music fest to the falling temps in September. I committed to the rocker chic style with the beloved Gloria V Bodysuit by American Apparel and a heavy metal chain by BCBG. The overall look was killer for dancing along to F+TM and finishing off the night with Justice and Avicii.

Street Stunners
Custom cutoffs and easy shapes in pretty prints or hot hues were an easy way to look effortlessly cool at Lolla.

Electric blue eye makeup adds a pop to an all black ensemble and hints of neon with a pair of lo tops gave on trend details without going into "costume" territory.

A pair of shorts and a simple top can be your best bet for keeping your cool at a crowded fest. Add your own signature twist with a fringed crossbody bag or a straw hat.

 Magical Moments with Flo. ;)

Of course nighttime called for my favorite spiked Sass & Bide Top and a white leather mini.

Wineapalooza, shoeper shots and Polica.
