So Shoe Me ~ 6/30/2011

Today's So Shoe Me is the Roscoe by Jeffrey Campbell, $255, available at Solestruck. Referencing Balenciaga but still not crossing the line to full-blown knockoff in my opinion the Roscoe is a safe alternative to the high fashion brand that doesn't break the bank. An instantaneous industrial downtown feel makes this cut out boot fresh and modern - perfect for the quintessential city girl (or city girl at heart). The rust colored suede is an unexpected neutral that will pair well with prints or solids add the chunky antique gold hard wear for that bit of industrial cool that makes these casual boots a step ahead. A statement that isn't about the heel or bright color these summer boots are versatile and irresistible so pick up a pair now to show off your edgy style this season. Pair the Roscoe with a abstract print hi-lo hem skirt (like the Get It skirt by UNIF, available at Need Supply) and a simple crop top for a look that mixes feminine and masculine styles for a signature look.

So Shoe Me a pair of modern downtown boots that bring industrial hardware and a signature edge to anything I pair them with.

  1. I'm worried about the back zip scratching my heel with this shoe - as I wouldn't wear it with socks (obviously)... Thoughts?

  2. I don't think that the back zip will be much of a problem as long as you buy the right size. I can't really tell from the images but usually the leather covers some of the zipper for more comfort. Also you could play with some fun ankle socks - perhaps a sheer lace pair when you wear them with shorts or a dress. Hope this helps!
