So Shoe Me ~ 3/15/2011

Today's So Shoe Me is the Loafer in Dakota Fuschia by Zalo, $165, available at Need Supply. Sporting a fresh Southwestern inspired pattern in a classic loafer shape this flat by Zalo is the perfect way to inject a bit of classic menswear, texture and an eclectic print into your wardrobe this spring. This woven wonder is the perfect casual shoe to wear to death this season. It can easily be mixed with other prints or be worn with solid separates to become the standalone statement piece. The allover yarn dyed woven pattern adds a textural element that will add interest to any outfit, which is the key to creating style and not just wearing fashion. These shoes can be worn with sophisticated clean-lined separates to dress them up but I love playing up their casual charm. This outfit on the (Need Supply website) made up of a leather harness, loose utilitarian shorts and a white tee would work perfectly with these bright loafers. They also work well for pattern mixing. Pair them with a modern Ikat printed straight or wide leg pant and a solid top for a bold yet harmonious style.

So Shoe Me a pair of textural loafers that add on trend color and a bold linear print into a classic menswear shape.
